Paoay Church, Ilocos Norte, Philippines
A UNESCO World Heritage SiteChurch construction started in 1704 and copmpleted in 1894. Bell tower was constructed in 1793. The church is a combination of Gothic, Baroque, and Oriental designs.
Imposing buttresses of the church. The location of the Philippines along the Pacific Ring of Fire called for such buttresses and massive foundation.
