Been TAGGED.

I have been tagged by Ate Pea. I did something like this in my Multiply account, so I am just copying stuff I posted there. It's funny because the facts from my Multiply were from an entry I made in this blog two years ago!

THE RULES - List of 8
Write 8 facts about yourself. In the 8 facts, you share 8 things that your readers don’t know about you. At the end, you tag as much other bloggers to keep the fun going. Each blogger must post these rules first. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Here's my share:

1. I am named after a character in the Bible. My name actually means "gazelle" or "deer" (yes, the one with antlers). My name is Greek but has a Hebrew translation: Tabitha.

2. My 18th birthday was Wild Wild West-inspired. I didn't wear a gown, instead I wore a Cowboy outfit (with a cowboy hat to match, yee-ha!).

3. I used to be part of the college paper.

4. I feel sad when it rains.

5. I am a super impulsive buyer.

6. My birthday is Cory Aquino's birthday. And Robert Boyle's too.

7. I have trouble getting up in the morning. Believe me, it's AGONY.

8. I thought Ian Veneracion was adorable when I was five years old. God, was I crazy.

I'm sorry but I don't think I could tag anyone. I was gone for a looooooong time and I don't have any blogging friends left. Hahaha!

****

This is my 98th post since I started blogging, which means I would make my 100th post soon! I think it should be made extra special!

What should be the contents? 100 most loved things? 100 most special people? 100 most liked words? Suggestions please!

Last Supper

For the sake of the nation, this Jesus must die...

Look at all my trials and tribulations
Sinking in a gentle pool of wine.
Don't disturb me now, I can see the answer
Till this evening is this morning, life is fine.

Always thought that I'd be an Apostle.
Knew that I would make it if I tried.
Then when we retire, we can write the Gospels
So they'll still talk about us when we've died.

Look at all my trials and tribulations
Sinking in a gentle pool of wine.
What's that in the bread, it's gone to my head
Till this morning in this evening life is fine.

Student Eternally.

If you guys are wondering if I have finished my post-grad studies, well, the answer is NO.

I know, I know. I was supposed to finish everything last year, but things didn't go my way and for once I was convinced that the universe conspires for my failure. It's really hard not to know which direction to take, especially when people are constantly breathing down your neck. You tend to try and live up to the expectations that people have set for you, only to realize that these "wonderful things" do not necessarily make you happy.

I sat in my room for several hours. I thought of the situtation I have myself in. No, I do not believe in mistakes, in wrong decisions. There are no mistakes in this life, just lessons. And it's up to you to pick up those lessons and learn from them. It is by learning that you appreciate the value of what you have or what you have been through.

No, I have no regrets. And if I were given the chance to go back to March of 2005, I'd still pick this route among all the other routes that were laid before me. In the two years that I've been in this predicament, I honestly have learned and gained lessons that changed the way I see things and people now. The experience may have been bitter at times, but hey! I'm still doing good. :)

After all, happiness is relative. Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you have decided to see life beyond the imperfections. Don't be happy because everything is alright. Be happy because everything sucks but you're still doing fine.

Wow. Thank God for this opportunity to grow.

Drama ito! I am in the lab right now, in senti mode because nobody's here, making important scientific work happen. Later on this day I shall attend another DWTL batch at the Pollock Renewal Center in Ateneo. Grabe, there's just so much to be thankful for!

I must now go back to nerd mode. Duty calls!

GUESS WHO'S BACK?!

(...and I purposely typed that in all caps!)

Hello world! I've been to hell and I AM NOW BACK! I'm back! I'm back! I'm back!

After 535 days, 12 hours, and 57 minutes, I once again logged into my Blogger for an update.

Wow! It felt surreal to see the new log-in system of Blogger and the same old posting interface. Actually, I had to work my way to finally access my blog because they changed the sign up system! I was so lost that I had to request Blogger to send to my e-mail my log-in name and password.

Since my last post last year (I know, I know! Laugh!), many things have happened to my unbelievably amazing life: a dear friend passed away last June at the age of 22, attended two conferences (one local and one international), applied for a job at Nestle, an incredible Cebu vacation, bought a mobile phone, a new pamangkin was born, staffed for another DWTL batch, new pairs of lovely shoes, switched to DSL, signed up two new e-mail addresses, and a whole lot more.

After more than a year, I can tell you that life drastically changed for me. It may have hit me hard at times, but there were lessons I picked up along the way that I wouldn't trade for anything else. So, yeah, I am now a changed woman. Nakksss... hahaha...

Anyway, I haven't changed the look of the blog. I'm still keeping the red and white motif, as well as the macabre feather on the banner, though I removed some stuff from the right panel over there.

Awww, man! I still can't get over the fact that I am once again blogging here. I might have lost some of my "regular visitors" (aka FANS, hahahaha!), but I hope I can still generate traffic to this site.

I sometimes blog in my Multiply site, though I mainly use the site for posting my photos. What's interesting about Multiply is that it is a bit of everything: photos site, blog, calendar, networking with friends. It's Photobucket, YouTube, Blogger and Friendster all rolled into one. Ay shiet... Multiply endorser na yata ako. Hahaha.

But as I was doing this post, I realized that nothing probably compares to a site dedicated to purely blogging. Not to mention the blogging experience itself. The thrill of walking home and thinking what to blog for tonight. Or how to write it. Or what pictures to put in. Wow. I missed this!

So there. Ahh. This feeling... I can't even explain it. But I tell you one thing: it feels like nothing in the world to be back blogging. :)
