Yessss! I am once again alone in the laboratory... Times like these make me ponder more on what's been happening in my life. I get to think more about my plans and goals as well as bum about the bad times I've had for the past few days. At 23, I used to think I have achieved much already in life than most 23-year-old girls do. But if you really think about it, nothing has changed; I am still stuck in school, still can't earn my own money, and still can't move on in life. Simply put, I am nobody so I have no reason to think I am great after all. While my other friends have moved on into the world of professional work, here I am living in the world of school work with no job experience whatsoever. Honestly, I can't wait to graduate from my post grad degree. This has been exhausting my energy for the past year. I literally have no time to meet up with most of my friends because I spend my weekends in the lab. It's like my world revolves around the four walls of the Sensors Lab alone. Argh! Anyway, enough of my whining... let me get back to my lab work now before I get any more Bea Alonzo-ish dramatic. Labels: whine posted by Dorxie at 10:20 AM

Investments come in different forms: land properties, money, and even precious metals. Yup, precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum are being used as investment products and of the three metals, gold is the most popular choice of investment in the world right now. Buying gold is considered to be one of the best ways to preserve wealth and purchasing power. It is a unique investment from the time of the Egyptians to more modern times. People have always been fond with the shining shimmering beauty of gold and its power to change our lives. And today, everyone can say that gold has proven its ability to diversify investments, protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power. The price of gold fluctuates from time to time, but its value doesn't depreciate over time. This means that when you buy gold now then sell it 10 years later, its price would definitely be greater than the price you got it for. Interested in making an investment? Be sure to check out the online site of Monex, the world leader in precious metals investment, for more info about deals they offer. Labels: gold posted by Dorxie at 8:46 PM

Sonography is an ultrasound-based diagnostic imaging technique widely used in the field of medicine to visualize muscles, tendons, internal organs, and other soft tissues in the body. The technique uses frequency to produce a spatial resolution of the sought organ image. A sonography technician uses water-based gel to couple the ultrasound between the transducer and patient so as to produce an image. A sonography tech can also use a hand-held probe that is placed directly on and moved over the patient to come up with a clearer image of the scanned organ. There are many sonography schools around that offer courses for this type of job. I'm sure you can find info about sonography classes and trainings online. Be sure to check out the one nearest to you. Labels: sonography posted by Dorxie at 12:36 AM

Many kids nowadays prefer to take up Nursing as a course because they say it's an easy ticket to work abroad. However, I can name a few who didn't pursue nursing but took courses on being certified nursing assistants (CNA) since the profession also offers diverse opportunities in other countries. I noticed that many CNA schools have been established around the metro. I heard that some of the CNA courses that these schools offer include preparing food trays, grooming and dressing patients, helping patients move about, measuring and recording vital signs, and observing the patients’ conditions. The CNA training also requires clinical practice because many CNAs end up in hospitals and nursing homes. I suggest you consider being a CNA if you are interested to be in the health care field. Check out online postings for this kind of job ;) Labels: nursing assistant posted by Dorxie at 12:04 AM

Alright, I know I am not the only one having trouble with how sites look like when viewed using the two different browsers. It's not like there's a major problem with both browsers' outputs, but minor differences on how IE and Firefox display sites affect spacing, which readily messes up things! Take my post below where I answered questions using pixies. When using my Firefox browser, the questions and pics are neatly left-aligned. When I tried looking at my blog in school using IE, the pics and questions are all over the place! I tried editing the post so it would fit the IE browser, yet nothing really happened as the post still looked the same! Argh! Do most of you guys use Firefox or IE? Please let me know so I could adjust my site. Thankies! Labels: boo posted by Dorxie at 2:24 AM

Day after day, more ways of earning money through the internet are being introduced to people, some of which are fairly simple while others are a little more complicated. However, we have to take note that these methods are not always efficient, and the only way to tell if an earning method is effective is to try it out yourself. Writing an advertisement is one way of generating income online. Another way is by signing up into sites that help you make money using the internet, just like this one French site I came across with. If only I know how to read and write French, I'd definitely try the site... really! I think it has a feature where members get free money (argent gratuit) just by signing up. They also give French tips on how to earn easily (argent facile sur le net) by knowing the right opportunities in the World Wide Web. I guess making money online isn't so hard after all as there are a lot of resources available to us. There's no harm in trying it out... Who knows, your rich future (devenir riche) may just be a few clicks away. Labels: easy money posted by Dorxie at 1:44 AM

Anyone who's interested to work as a pharmacy technician? I saw a posting over the net that offers pharmacy tech training. You guys might wanna check it out. A pharmacy technician assists licensed pharmacists in retail or in hospitals, and they work the same hours pharmacists work. Technicians also have the advantage of pursuing part-time or full-time work, and as they gain seniority, they have more control over their hours and shifts. In terms of wages, the pharmacy technician salary varies from one workplace to another. Normally, those who work in hospitals get more than those who work in department store pharmacies. Check out other medical-related trainings online for more info on topics that you are interested in. Labels: pharmacy posted by Dorxie at 10:33 PM

My friend is Steph is currently looking for a culinary school where she could pursue her interest in cooking. I thought choosing the right "chef school" is not hard to do, but when I tried browsing the internet I found out that there are lots of culinary schools around the metro and each one has its own specialty! To help my friend Steph I would like to ask if you guys know a good culinary school that's really worth enrolling to? I would appreciate if you could give even just a bit of info about the school as well as names of people who finished studying culinary arts there. I would be waiting for replies! Thanks! I've been really concerned about my health condition lately. It's not that I have a serious disease or something; I just want to make sure that my health's in tip-top shape. I would probably ask a doctor friend of mine to run some tests on me even if I look physically well. I might also ask my friend who's working as an X-ray technician to schedule me for a radiological test for additional info about my health. Then maybe I could also ask my Mom to have my blood tested for "abnormalities." I hope I can find the time to do all these things in the following days. Oh my, I am suddenly health conscious! The internet sometimes "wows" the hell out of me. From mail to networking to shopping to live broadcast to gambling.... is there anything it CAN'T DO? Apparently, the answer is a NO. It seems to me that internet possibilities are endless. In fact, the internet has become a parallel universe to each and everyone of us that we tend to prefer doing things over the net (at the comfort of our own homes!) rather than doing them in reality. No need to bring cars over to the mall. No need to wait in long lines at the post office. Just a PC and a connection and you're ready to go! Just imagine how the internet made our lives a whole lot easier... so why stop discovering new things to do online? Recently, I've stumbled upon a site that offers live TV 24/7. Yes, live TV. Live TV with several channels to choose from. Live TV with live shows and live people. Live TV that reaches all the corners of the Earth. Live. TV. over. the. internet. Can't wait to find out what's next to hit the world wide web! Hail internet! posted by Dorxie at 1:26 AM
